Starcuts

Walks of Fame. In the work group Starcuts I have combined 7 different star silhouettes from very different origins. The glamorous stars in their famous poses were cut from unpretentious white stryrofoam plates. My starcut memories date back to my teenage days, every week I would collect another page of a Star that I idolized, cut the bit out and assemble all of these pages together to a lifesize poster. These cutouts ended on one of the walls in my room and if the star did not survive the next seaons in the bin.

Replaced by a new star, icono-star—cut-clast. There are just so many walls in a room to project yourself on… ...
